CREATIF CENTER

The Munich University of Music and Theater and Wavelab are cooperation partners in the newly founded CreatiF Center at the University of Television and Film Munich.

The CreatiF Center at HFF Munich is an experimental laboratory for the development and testing of new technologies for film and television. Research and development focuses in particular on supporting creative processes during film production.
As a cooperation partner, HMTM engages in regular exchange, collects new findings and technologies, and transfers these to the needs of its students and teachers. The cooperation includes a shared pool of experience, workshops, and events on film and multimedia innovations.

The project is supported by the “Innovative Hochschule” funding initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

WHAT WE DO

We contribute to the CreatiF Center as scouts and coordinators for exchanges and joint projects and events. To this end, we are in regular contact with the HFF project team and mediate between teachers, staff, and students at both universities with regard to digitization processes in music and film.

Our Team

Alexandra Mümmler (HMTM)

Coordination, Scouting CreatiF-Center (HMTM)

Alexandra Mümmler has many years of practical experience coordinating and organizing projects thanks to her training as an architect (M.Arch.) and her work in various architectural firms, such as Herzog & de Meuron. With her master’s degree in visual communication (M.A.) and her artistic practice, she brings creativity, a love of experimentation, and conceptual work in the context of media, art, and tech to the table. She has professional experience and networks in Munich, Vienna, Amsterdam, and Berlin.

Simon von der Au (HFF)

Project Lead CreatiF-Center

Simon von der Au hat Medieninformatik an der LMU München studiert. Während seines Studiums arbeitete und forschte er am Institut für Rundfunktechnik an interaktiven- und Augmented Reality-unterstützen Formaten und leitete ein kleines studentisches Forschungslabor. Nach seinem Abschluss (Ms. C.) arbeitete und forschte er am Lehrstuhl für digitales Marketing und Medieninnovation an der Universität der Bundeswehr. Dort sammelte er weitreichende praktische Erfahrung im agilen Projektmanagement und der Organisation und Koordination von Forschungsprojekten. Darüber hinaus organisierte und leitete er dort die SeRANISxfounders Startup Challenge.
