Kurzbeschreibung des Vortrags
When AI can compose music, choreograph movement, and generate imagery indistinguishable from reality, what remains uniquely human about creative work? This lecture explores the tension between technological abundance and the scarcity of meaning. Drawing on Baudrillard's theory of simulation and Benjamin's concept of the aura, it examines how generative AI doesn't destroy authenticity, but exposes its myth. The talk combines a compact technical foundation (how diffusion models, LLMs, and agentic workflows actually work) with concrete examples from CogniWerk.ai, a Hamburg-based generative AI platform for creative professionals. We will look at the creative industries' shifting value chains, the democratization of creative tools, and the philosophical questions AI forces us to confront: What is creativity when machines can create? What is originality when everything is remix? And ultimately: is art the artifact, or the intention?
